Fund Raising Tips

1. Ask EVERYONE. Tell them about the event, tell them what you’re raising money for, and tell them you’re only walking for 3.5 hours of your life in hope that someone else won’t be trafficked. 2. Buy candy, make stuff (cards, key chains, etc), offer services (shoveling, walking the dog, etc) and sell them to people you know. 3. Hosts dinner parties and ask people to a donation. 4. Ask companies if they’re willing to match donations – VietACT is a nonprofit organization. 5. Save $10 from each pay check/allowance until the day of the event (if you have 3 months and get paid bi-weekly, that’s $60!). 6. Ask your friends for dollar donations… 50 friends = $50!
